UCHealth is now conducting a formal six-month pilot to document the data, validate the cost savings, and build the business case for expanding nurse-driven app ordering across other clinical units and hospitals in the system. The nurses who have used it in behavioral health will serve as peer advocates — sharing their firsthand experience with other units to demonstrate that it is not just possible, but preferable.
